International Conference About Humanities, Business, Education, Innovation and Technology
SlavConf. is a series of events and initiatives, which unite people with interests in culture, humanities, arts and business. It was founded by Atanas Neychev and Lilia Ivanova in May 2017. The events create a community of creative people who are looking to develop their abilities and find a job, an internship or a business partner. The International conference is held annually and aims at introducing the community to companies, institutions and business executives.
The themes of the lectures and the panels are related to the career and the creative development through the contemporary prism of the humanities and the arts. The event is aimed at students (high school, undergraduates, postgraduates, PhDs), educators, organizations, managers and faculty members. The connections of the humanities with arts, business, innovation and technology are included as subtopics.
The main objectives are:
● to maintain the connection between university and business;
● the development of culture and innovation;
● increasing job and internship opportunities for students and youth;
● to justify the basics of business management activities;
● to empower the desire of creating.
The content includes lectures, panels and workshops. The lectures are developed by the lecturer, for ex., “Management in Educational Sector”, “The Publishing House and the Editor”, “Business, Grammar and Fantasy”. The panels are related to the career opportunities and the discussions about creative development - Panel "Cinema", Writers Panel, Panel "Managers", panel about cultural heritage, etc. The panelists could be managers, writers, educators, academics, etc. Workshop is the practical initiative of the programme. Students work on an assignment with the help of an expert.
The official languages of the events are Bulgarian and English. Slavic languages are optional.
The first issue was held on 13-14 October 2017 at the Hall of Sofia University.
