Тhe conference for career and creative development – SlavConf. was held for the fourth consecutive year. The event is traditionally organized in the Aula Magna of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. This year the international conference SlavConf. Pathways was held on 30 and 31 October 2020 in online format, entirely in English. The keynote lectures were given by the well-known Alberto Caballero and Tim Kemp. World-renowned horror writers like Nancy Kilpatrick, Erinn L. Kemper, Weston Ochse, etc. took part in the special “Dark Literature Panel” on Halloween.
The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Information Activities and Academic Staff of Sofia University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eliza Stefanova:
“It is my pleasure to make the welcome note at SlavConf., which is usually opened at our official ceremony hall – the Aula! Unfortunately, this year we couldn’t see you there, but I hope that every one who visits the conference is open-minded and sees the new opportunities in these challenging days. We use those opportunities to break the walls and share creative ideas with as many people as possible through digital technologies. To have the possibility to touch the minds and hearts of many people, their creative thinking and actions, their interesting ideas. For all these reasons, I believe this conference will have success. I wish luck to all participants and guests and I thank the organizers – Atanas and Lilia. I hope next year we will see each other in our really very beautiful Aula. Let’s open the conference now and next year you are all welcome again at Sofia University! I hope we can be all together there. Thank you!”
The sessions of the program covered the topics of journalism and art, how to sell a video game, business perspectives in the creative industry, success indicators in the music business, graphic representation of a dance, video marketing and more.
